Andrew joins Obalo winery to offer an open and innovative vision that fits with a project that seeks to reflect the Rioja tradition from a particular point of view. A British national, he has extensive experience in international projects in important wineries in Canada and Chile.
He has a great knowledge of the Spanish wine scene having spent a large part of his professional career in various Spanish winemaking areas such as D.O. GetariakoTxakolina, D.O. Terra Alta, Toro and Somontano.
Llega a Bodegas Obalo tras haber formado parte de diversos proyectos en la D. O. C.a Rioja, una zona que le apasiona y que está convencido de que está en un momento “muy interesante por todas las posibilidades que actualmente se abren, siempre con el foco puesto en el viñedo”.
He arrives at Bodegas Obalo after having been part of several projects in the D.O. C. Rioja, an area he is passionate about and which he is convinced is in a “very interesting moment because of all the possibilities that are currently opening up, always with the focus on the vineyard”.
