“Obalo joven presents the fruitiness of the Riojan Tempranillo variety while maintaining the tactile strength of the more modern wines”
Bodegas Obalo presents the 2014 vintage of Obalo joven, a wine that after a brief ageing of 4 months in barrel brings out the fruitiness of the Riojan Tempranillo variety while maintaining the tactile strength of the more modern wines, which sets it apart.
The new 2014 vintage now reaches the market with a refreshed design by replacing the former bottler for a Bordeaux bottle that perfectly matches the new line of sobriety and elegance of its label.
Obalo Crianza awarded by Premios vino y mujer
On the other hand, Bodegas Obalo has just received a new award for its Crianza 2011, the Diamante award from Premios Vino y Mujer, which is given by Alamesa and Aula Abierta del Vino and which intends to highlight the role of women in this industry.
Wines from four countries have participated in the eighth edition of these awards, representing 48 European wine regions, and a jury composed entirely of women has chosen the best wines in the different categories. In the “Ageing up to 12 months” section, Obalo Crianza has been selected amongst the six best wines according to the criterion of this select group of professionals that occupy an important place in the wine world, such as journalists, oenologists, academics of the Real Academia de Gastronomía or members of international tasting committees.
